London Olympic bronze medalist Shane Perkins features in the Be the Influence – Tackling Binge Drinking initiative video which was launched last week.

Perkins features along with some of Australia’s leading sporting stars all of whom are ‘strong enough to say enough’ to binge drinking.

Cycling Australia is one of fourteen of Australia’s national sporting organisations provided with funding from a government sponsorship program to provide an alternative to alcohol sponsorship in sport.

The campaign is a partnership between the Australian Government and national sporting organisations to address binge drinking and the influence of alcohol promotion on young Australians.

Each sponsorship agreement covers a range of activities and events from national team sponsorship, to Australia-wide competitions and community sporting events.
