Why is ACT Championships registration more expensive than a club race?
As well as the regular costs like venue hire first aid, and traffic control, there are extra costs involved in holding state championships, such as paying an honorarium to the commissaires who officiate the race, and purchasing medals for 34 age categories.

*Non-Championship Support Races

Continuing on from last years success, Cycling ACT welcomes riders of all levels to be a part of the racing at the 2019 championships events. The Non-Championships races will be open to all CA members to enter, including those already competing in an ACT Championship race. Results are provided separately to the championship races. There is no championship placing for these races. They are simply extending the calendar of local racing opportunities for everyone.

Non-Championship Support Criteriums: $5 (entry on the night)
Non-Championship Support Road Race: Enter via the Championship portal

CA MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

To enter group start races (road races, criteriums etc.) including the ACT Road Championships and ACT Criterium Championships, a Cycling Australia Race Membership is required.

Cycling ACT Technical Regulations and Bylaws require riders racing in colours other than the colours of their Club to be approved by the federation.

ACT CHAMPIONSHIPS VS. ACT CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS

The ACT Championships are the state championships for the ACT. Entries are open to all Cycling Australia members and international riders with an international license. Separate results are awarded for each age group. State level rules & regulations apply.

The ACT Club Championships are the club championships for cycling clubs based in the ACT. Entries are open to all Cycling Australia members, however each club will award separate results and medals for each grade (eg. A Grade, B Grade...).
