National Virtual Track Challenge travel advice

28Sep2020

Some of you may have reviewed the latest Travel warnings on the ACT Government COVID Website with respect to attending the National Virtual Track Challenge at Dunc Gray Velodrome this weekend at Bass Hill.

"COVID-affected areas in NSW

We ask Canberrans to reconsider the need for any unnecessary travel to COVID- affected areas of NSW.

Currently, this includes specific Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Greater Sydney:

Bankstown (part LGA: Revesby, Bankstown, and Bass Hill)"

The ACT Department of Health have advised that is OK to go, however you should self isolate for 14 days upon your return if you are going to have any contact with a vulnerable person. If you work with vulnerable people, for example at an age care facility/hospital etc, you should consult with your employer. For advice specific to your circumstances, please call the  ACT COVID-19 Helpline on 6207 7244 between 8am and 8pm daily.

Please note that you will not be able to utilise ACTAS facilities for 14 days following your return.

Cycling NSW would appreciate some volunteers to assist at the event. If you are able to do so, please email james.nguyen@cycling.org.au.

If you are intending to go, please let us know by emailing act.info@cycling.org.au. You should follow all relevant Health Authority COVID guidelines and, at the slightest sign of any illness, self-isolate and get tested.
