Cycling Australia, through its State and Territory Cycling Associations, clubs and event promoters invite you to take part in a recreational ride.
Recreational rides are all about participation and enjoyment, no matter the distance you cover, the type of bike you ride or how long it takes you.
Rides listed on the CA Recreational Ride Calendar are coordinated by a variety of promoters/event organisers and range from small scale, local club events to large scale, national mass participation rides. All rides are endorsed by the State/Territory Cycling Association and are sanctioned by Cycling Australia.
Rides are available to members of Cycling Australia who hold either a Race or Ride membership. If you are not a member, you can participate by purchasing a CA Recreation Ride Permit for the day of the ride (available from the event organiser). Membership (or the Recreation Ride Permit) provides you with insurance cover through Cycling Australia for the duration of the event, allowing you to get out there and simply enjoy the ride.
All rides are run in accordance with Cycling Australia’s Risk Management Policies and Procedures.
Please note: The events will vary in their organisation, structure, delivery style and nature. For further information about each ride and before making any bookings or arrangements, please visit the event website or contact the promoter/event organiser directly.
