The club was formed in 1988, the year Olympic Cyclist Graham Seers relocated from Sydney to start his own business & also started the club. The club was originally Port Macquarie Cycle & Tri Club. After several years under the one banner the Tri Club & Cycle Club went their separate ways in 1992. The club celebrated its Silver Jubilee in 2013.
Over the years there have been seven different presidents, with some serving more than one tenure. The presidents have been Fred Goggin, Geoff Carpenter, Murray Sallaway, Warwick Wickham, David Leigh, David Morton & current president Kev Fletcher.
