About Cycling NT

Cycling NT, formerly the Northern Territory Cycling Association, is the peak governing body for both organised competitive and recreational cycling within the Northern Territory. It is affiliated with Cycling Australia and the international body, the UCI.

Cycling NT currently has 2 affiliated clubs. The Darwin Cycling Club in the Top End and the Alice Springs Cycling Club in Central Australia.

New members are welcome and may join by becoming a member of an affiliated club. Members are issued with a license which includes personal and public liability insurance cover for racing and training.

The Alice Springs Cycling Club hosts the NT Track Titles annually on their 333.33 metre outdoor concrete velodrome. The NT Road Championships have been held in a variety of locations across the Territory.

Cycling NT supports the competitive cycling disciplines of road and track cycling at a state level and also manages the selection of Northern Territory Road and Track representatives at National Championships.

We operate to promote cycling in Central Australia where we have a world class outside velodrome, plenty of great roads, easy to access mountain trails and the Simpson Gap bike path.

We provide a variety of cycling activities including track, crits and road racing. There are organised training crit rides at the world class Hidden Valley Raceway, monthly social rides and plenty of racing.
