Whether your interest in coaching is to provide cycling advice and support to members in your local club; to help individuals (or groups) become healthier and fitter or to help motivated and passionate athletes achieve their performance goals then you have come to the right place.
Our mission is “To provide excellent quality education for coaches at all levels, across all disciplines of cycling”.
How do we achieve this mission? By:
Working closely with the Territory road, track and BMX organisations to deliver regular, high quality Beginner/Skills and Level 1 discipline-specific coaching courses
Cycling Australia provide ongoing evaluation, review and modification of all coaching courses at all levels to keep Australian cycling coach education at the forefront of coach education worldwide
Providing education and training for coaches to become coach educators as Presenters and Assessors, and deliver coaching courses and professional development opportunities nationwide
Providing support and a high level of service to existing coaches to allow ongoing development of skills and knowledge
Working closely with National coaches and State/Territory Institutes and Academies of Sport coaches to develop strong communication lines and opportunities for coaches to progress through the coaching pathway, including the Level 2 coaching courses
Coaching is a fun and rewarding role that will allow you to work with people, challenge your ability to communicate, plan, increase your knowledge and most of all, achieve your own goals and help cyclists achieve theirs.
Prior to becoming a Cycling NT accredited coach and undertaking any of the courses outlined below, the following key requirements must be met:
1. A current Cycling NT Membership
2. A current Apply First Aid Certificate
3. A current Working With Children Check
