Coaching allows you to challenge your ablility, communicate, plan, increase your knowledge and most of all, help others achieve their goals. Weather your a local, kicking off or up skilling your career, you can help shape the next generation.
Prior to becoming an accrediited coach and undertake any of the coaching courses please review the pre-course requirements below:
Coaches must hold membership with Cycling Australia. A Non-Riding, Social or Non-Competitive Membership is satisfactory for course attendance, post-course coaching hours as a trainee, and coach accreditation.

Participants may attend a coach course if they provide proof they are enrolled to attend a First Aid course within the near future. However, there is no insurance coverage as a coach or trainee coach until they have formalised their First Aid certification. The level of First Aid must be HLTAID003 or equivalent.

Coaches must hold a Working with Children Check or Working with Vulnerable People Check relative to the State or Territory legislation in which they will be coaching. When applying for this check Cycling Australia and the state body must be noted as an interested party.
A registered teacher may submit their current teacher registration card relative to their State or Territory education department.
The course can be completed online at learning.ausport.gov.au
Please note, this is not required if a participant has attended and completed a previous cycling coaching course, or has completed a Diploma or Bachelor in Education.
