The 2020-21 VICS Summer Series will be announced in August 2020, with an anticipated start date of November 2020.
The Summer Victorian Interschools Cycling Series features a mixture of Criteriums, Individual Time Trials and Team Time Trials.
All participants must have a road bike and a helmet with the Australian Standards Approved sticker. Please note that Cycling Victoria members must adhere to the Cycling Australia technical guidelines.
For this particular series, Cycling Victoria allows exceptions to the following:
Eight grades of racing will be split across the Junior and Senior Categories. Senior grades include all riders in the J17-19 categories for the year of 2020, likewise junior grades J15 and below for the year of 2020. Grading of entrants will be determined during the round one Individual Time Trial at Casey Fields, with further grading at the discretion of Cycling Victoria based on previous results, known capabilities and grade sizes. If a rider is upgraded the rider will carry over half of their accumulated points in the series.
All riders must have a Cycling Australia Victorian Interschool Cycling Series or Cycling Australia Race membership to compete.
Schools wishing to complete a bulk upload of memberships for students, teachers will need to have a permission slip from the parents/guardians accepting the membership terms and conditions and send their membership request to Cycling Australia Membership (email@example.com) no less than two weeks prior to the event.
